With Search & Assign feature, you can automatically and dynamically assign groups to your customers. Groups can be created for multiple reasons and issues: risk, commercial, reporting, etc.
First, please note the following requirements:
Here, we'll assign the
English Speaking Customers group for customers whose
country is the UK, USA and Canada.
Our group and our search have already been created.
Go to Settings tab,
AI Search & Assign :
Select the « Groups » attribute, and click on
+ Add.
In the Pop-Up window, proceed with the settings:
- Select the group to be assigned to.
- Choose the search to identify customers
- Finally, click on Save !
You can immediately apply the assignment rule by selecting « Run automatic sequence » if the Autorun was selected.
It is also possible to make « Automatic Unassignment » for a customer or group that no longer meets the Search criteria.
If you've set up the sequence manually, you'll need to launch it by clicking on the
logo!
This particularly simple example is intended to illustrate the unlimited possibilities of dynamically creating customer segmentations in your platform based on all the information available, for reporting or creating strategies based on these segmentations.
When a customer is imported into
My DSO Manager, the automatic Group assignment tasks are evaluated all at once, with no sequence between them.
Even if a sequence is defined in the rules configuration, it is not taken into account for groups: All valid rules are applied at the same time.
So, if several rules are true for the same customer, the latter can be assigned to several groups at the same time, even if the aim was for only one group to apply.
Interdependent rules :
Some assignment rules are based on prior group membership.
In this case, on first execution :
- The customer does not yet meet this criterion, so the rule is not activated,
- Or, on the contrary, several rules are activated simultaneously, as none of them excludes the other.
For the assignment logic to adjust correctly, a second run is required.
Best practice :
To ensure correct assignment in the case of interdependent rules: Run automatic assignments twice:
- Either by double-clicking on « Execute automatic assignments » in the dedicated menu,
- Or via two successive imports (the daily update allows this automatically).
